Make Your Own Butter Short Bread.

Hiya Everyone!
Today we have a delicious short bread recipe to share with you. We made this ourselves earlier this week, and they are all gone already! 
What you will need:

~ 5oz of Plain Flour
~ 4oz of Margarine
~ 2oz of Sugar
~ Weighing Scales
~ Mixing Bowl
~ Cookie Cutters
~ Grease Proof Paper
~ A Rolling Pin
~ Baking Tray
Method: 

1. Firstly, Pre-Heat your oven to Gas Mark 3, 170 Degrees Celsius or 338 Fahrenheit. 

2. Now, add your 5oz of plain flour, 2oz of sugar and 4oz of margarine in to the mixing bowl and rub with the tips of your fingers until it is a dough. If it feels too dry, add a small amount more of margarine, and if it feels too wet add a bit more flour. 

3. Once you have made a dough, it is time to roll it out and cut with the cookie cutters. Before hand, add flour to the surface and the rolling pin to prevent it from sticking. 

4. Now you should have biscuits that look something like the ones below. All you need to do now is sprinkle with a little more sugar, pierce them with a fork and put them in the oven for approximately 20-30 minutes to bake on a baking tray lined with grease proof paper. 

5. When baked, sprinkle a little more sugar over the top to make them taste extra good, and your short bread is already done! Ours made fourteen biscuits but this would depend on the size of your cookie cutter, and how big you want them to be.
